The manufacturer announces the whole process of medal and badge production
As a symbol of identity and status, each medal badge needs to be customized through eight standard manufacturing processes.
The shape of the medal and badge shall be carved and die cast by the mold; The badge surface will be polished, electroplated with gold, silver, nickel, etc. to achieve electroplating effect; In order to make the design of the medal badge concave and convex, we will use color painting, UV printing, assembly, sewing and other methods to make the whole medal badge more rich.
Medal and badge production process
01. Mold engraving
After the design of medal and badge drawings in the early stage, we use CDR to import the cutter path into the engraving machine program for mold engraving.
In the process of carving, attention should be paid to the thickness of the knife pattern. After carving, compare the mold according to the drawing to see if there is any missing. Finally, the mold should be heat treated to enhance the hardness and durability of the mold.
02. Pattern die-casting
Install the die that has been heat treated on the upper punching press or hydraulic press workbench, and turn the pattern onto the corresponding copper, patch, silver and other different badge making materials. After that, use the knife mold with the completed badge shape to wash down the medal badge on the punch.
03. Surface polishing
The surface of the badge is polished, and the smoothness of the badge surface can be improved by removing the burr of the stamped shape.
04. Electroplating treatment
Electroplating is one of the most widely used surface treatment processes in production. Different electroplating processes such as gold plating, silver plating, nickel plating and ancient gold plating can be selected according to customers' customized needs.
05. Color painting
The metal fittings that have just been polished and plated are just the most original metal, without any bright colors. We choose different medal badge making processes such as baking varnish, enamel, anti enamel, etc. according to different customized needs of customers.
06. UV printing
UV printing is to solidify the printing ink containing photosensitizer on the surface of the printed matter by drying it with ultraviolet light, so as to form a bright film rich in light sense and artistic effect on the surface of the printed matter; The surface is convex and elastic, which can better highlight the subtle levels and outlines of the graphic and text parts.
07. Assembling accessories
After the overall production of the medal and badge is completed, the standard accessories of the badge should be soldered on the back of the product, or the bayonet, bow, helmet, magnet and other accessories should be soldered according to customer requirements.
08. Sewing ribbon
According to the customer's requirements, different colors are made into ribbons through sewing process.
09. Gift box packaging
The packaging is generally divided into ordinary packaging (plastic bags) and medium and high-grade packaging (such as wooden gift boxes, brocade boxes, etc.). The packaging operation will be carried out according to the requirements of customers and the occasions where medals and badges appear.
